Brief History

Adventist High School (AHS) Osogbo is privately owned and operated by Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria.

The school is in the ancient city of Osogbo Osun State, Nigeria. The main campus of the school is located at Lajomo Estate, Olude Osogbo, while the annex is located at Km 2, Opposite Mobil Filling Station, New Ikirun Road, Ayetoro Osogbo.

The school was founded on September 16th, 2002 due to the request of some parents and church members to have holistic education for their children.

Twenty four (24) students were enrolled and thirteen (13) volunteered teachers began the academic activities with the approval of the church board and the government.

In the year 2003, at the commencement of another academic year, hostel accommodation began from the rented apartment of the Principal, Pastor Olawuyi S.O. and Shepherdess Olawuyi M.K. in the town but when the enrolment

increased and more students were coming for admission in 2004, the management rented buildings very close to the school for both boys and girls in different locations under the supervision of the Principal and Elder Owolabi Funminiyi, the then school Bursar.

In a bid to actualize his vision, the Principal acquired a land space of 4 acres (32 plots) at Olude through his personal friends' and relations' donations for the development of the school.

In 2010, construction commenced on the site through direct labour and other self-support activities to ensure its completion.

In 2010/2011 academic year, the school moved to the permanent site Olude campus where modern classrooms, laboratories, multipurpose Hall, Library, ICT studio and eateries are built.

Due to the outstanding performance of the school in Osogbo and its environs, the school 's enrolment has increased to 650 students with over seventy (70) staff.
